iGames and CEVO Wind Up 6-Month Tournament Series with $5K Counter-Strike 1.6 Open, Presented by Intel

Leading game center organization iGames and premier eSports online community CEVO today announced the details of $5K CS 1.6 Open, the final event in their 6-month series of national eSports tournaments, which began in June, with over $40,000 in the balance.
WHERE & WHEN:
Presented by Intel, who brings unreal performance to gamers with the Core 2 Extreme processor, the concluding round of competitions will be held Saturday and Sunday, December 9 and 10, at 8 iGames member centers across North America and will feature the best local teams fragging it out in Counter-Strike 1.6, one of today's most popular competitive games.

WHY YOU SHOULD GO:
Saturday, December 9, will feature 4-8 teams of 5 competing locally at each center, with the winners advancing to Sunday's LAN, double-elimination tournament, which will feature the winning team from each center facing off against the competition.
Team Prize Breakdown:
Day One
1st place = Pass to National tournament (minimum of $300 in winnings)
2nd place = $200 (requires a minimum of 8 participating teams)
3rd place = 4 hours free ($15 value per person)
4th place = 2 hours free ($7.50 value per person)
Day Two
1st place = $1,500
2nd place = $1,000
3rd place = $600
4th place = $500
5th place = $400
6th place = $400
7th place = $300
8th place = $300
In addition to the $5,000 in cash to be divided between the best Counter-Strike players, there will also be special raffles and other surprises for all participants, including sports bags and sunglass holders courtesy of Intel.
