IGA Worldwide has announced the appointment of former president of THQ Wireless, Tim Walsh, who will serve as VP of Media Acquisition for the in-game advertising specialists.
Bringing more than 18 years experience in publishing to the new role, Walsh will be responsible for rapidly developing partner relationships and accelerating the growth of IGA's Radial Network.
Taking care of all of IGA's global publishing partnerships, the industry veteran will work to increase available content for the placement of high-impact dynamic and static adverts, expanding on existing relationships and forging new partnerships for the firm.
Prior to his role as president of THQ Wireless, Walsh led the publisher's international division as SVP, International Publishing. He has previously served in numerous executive roles for Atari-owned Accolade, Time Warner, Capitol Records and EMI.
Justin Townsend, IGA Worldwide's CEO, commented: "Tim is a key global player in this industry and a very credible one at that. His knowledge of the publishing industry and talent for building profitable relationships quickly, will undoubtedly accelerate and help consolidate IGAâs position as a world leader of in-game advertising."
"Joining IGA Worldwide at this time is like getting into a rocket just before lift-off," added Walsh. "This is a very exciting opportunity and in my role I expect to contribute significantly to the company, its investors, and to its existing and future publishing partners."
