iFone CEO wins Ernst and Young North Region Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Manchester, 22 June 2005 - Morgan O'Rahilly, CEO and Founder of iFone, has been awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the 'Emerging' business section for the UK North Region. Competing against strong finalists from three other Northern-based companies, Morgan O'Rahilly was presented with the award in a glittering ceremony at Leeds Town Hall.

Judged on a range of criteria that include entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and leading and building teams among others, the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are designed to celebrate true entrepreneurship. All category award winners in the regional finals will go forward to the national awards that take place in October 2005.

O'Rahilly commented, "I was delighted to have been nominated as a finalist and am even more delighted to have been granted this award. I'm looking forward to the national awards in October and feel that this is a real testament to the continued success and hard work of all the iFone team".

O'Rahilly founded iFone, a global leader in wireless entertainment, specialising in the development, production and publishing of wireless entertainment content for mobile devices, in April 2000 and the company has since gone from strength to strength. iFone has recently enjoyed outstanding success with a number one hit in the ELSPA mobile games download charts with Lemmings last month and has become the UK's number one publisher of mobile games by downloads over the last year according to recent announcements by the European Trade Body ELSPA.

The national finals of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards will take place in the Grosvenor Hotel, London on 3rd October 2005.
