I-play names new Corporate Development VP

Silicon Valley veteran leads worldwide mergers and acquisitions efforts

Mobile entertainment company I-Play has announced the appointment of Krishna Gidwani in the role of Vice President of Corporate Development.

With a distinguished history in investments, mergers and acquisitions and venture capitalism, Gidwani will be responsible for the development of worldwide efforts in capital raising and growth for I-Play.

Focusing specifically on the development of non US markets including India and Asia, the new VP will be working closely with I-Play's senior management to establish and implement strategies to forge new partnerships worldwide.

The diversification of the business and expansion into new territories will be a key aspect of the role for Gidwani, who began his career in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs and Company, New York. Prior to his new appointment with I-Play, Gidwani held senior positions with Silicon Valley firms Celerity Partners and ONSET Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software and technology investments.

Commenting on the new appointment, Brian Greasley, CEO, I-play stated "We're extremely excited about having Krishna on board. His background in venture capital and M&A activity will prove invaluable to the business in this high growth sector which, being in its infancy will see a huge amount of consolidation over the coming years."
