I-Play extends relationship with SNK

Two classic SNK franchises announced in new partnership

Mobile games company I-Play has announced a new licensing agreement with SNK Playmore Corporation, which will see the release of two sequels to SNK's most popular franchises.

Based on the original arcade and console titles, Metal Slug Mobile Impact and King of Fighters M2 will be available to download in North, Central and South America, and throughout Europe, via I-Play's distribution channels.

Both titles have been specifically developed for the mobile platform, capturing the feel of the originals and offering mobile gamers a wealth of new options and play modes.

"I-play makes it very easy for our fans to download and play our popular franchises on their mobile phones," said Ben Herman, president of SNK PLAYMORE USA CORPORATION. "The Metal Slug and King of Fighters mobile games will capture the excitement of these arcade originals."

SNK PLAYMORE USA opened its New Jersey division in 2003 with the specific ambition of publishing arcade hits on current console and portable gaming devices. The success of the first two titles (Metal Slug Mobile and King of Fighters Mobile) has prompted the sequels, and by partnering with I-Play, SNK's games will reach a potential audience of more than a billion gamers, through retail chains, online portals and mobile operators.

I-Play has been publishing mobile games and entertainment since 1998. With a vast distribution network and an increasingly diverse catalogue of mobile content, the company continues to grow, carefully selecting key partners to bring the best in mobile gaming to consumers in different territories across the world.
