Hudson Entertainment president steps down
After 20 years with the company, Hudson Entertainment president John Greiner has decided to step down
Hudson Entertainment, the North American publishing arm of Hudson Soft, has announced that John Greiner has decided to step down from his position as president and CEO effective May 15.
Greiner worked for Hudson Soft in Japan for 15 years before launching the company's US business in 2003.
"Twenty years at one company is a testament to the quality of the Hudson culture," said Greiner.
"When you are with a company for that long, the people become a major part of your life. My blood is Hudson blue. I will continue to support them long after my departure."
Greiner said that he plans to spend time with his family and pursue personal interests.
Hudson currently has no plans to search for an outside replacement. Instead, US division senior executive and chairman, Seiichi Ishigaki, will assume Greiner's responsibilities.
"John Greiner has been a huge part of the Hudson history in the West," Ishigaki said.
"We will miss his leadership, and we wish him the best of luck in his personal endeavors. Hudson will continue its mission to deliver the best entertainment products for the North American market."
