Hothead Games Launches Rainslick.com, the Official Site for Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness
Seattle, Washington -- (PENNY ARCADE EXPO) -- Aug 25, 2007 -- Hothead Games today announced that www.rainslick.com, the official site for its highly anticipated game title Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, has launched in conjunction with Penny Arcade Expo 2007, the game culture celebration to being held Aug. 24-26 at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center in Seattle.
Fans attending PAX will be able to design and create their own fully customizable characters at interactive kiosks located at Hothead's booth #424 and then view their created character in the intro movie for the game at Rainslick.com. Custom characters team up with Gabe and Tycho in the game, appearing in both 3D (in game) and the unique 2D comic-style cut scenes. Custom characters develop and evolve over time, with stats and abilities transferring from episode to episode of the game.
With game trailers and the online press kit, www.rainslick.com is the best place to get the most up-to-date information on the game, The website will ultimately be the primary place to purchase Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness when it releases for PC later this year.
On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One is the first chapter of the planned downloadable episodic Penny Arcade Adventures game for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Hothead is working with the Penny Arcade creators and adventure game pioneer Ron Gilbert in an intense collaborative development process.
