Model and broadcasters Alex Sim-Wise joins Rising Star's Japanese culture site as a columnist.

Thursday 7th January 2010: Rising Star Games Hoshi Club members will be treated to even more exclusive content throughout 2010, as broadcaster Alex Sim-Wise joins its roster of columnists.

Alex shot to fame in 2004 after winning FHM's 'student of the year' competition. Following stints in modelling, she's become well known for her uncompromising views which feature regularly on TV, radio, in print and online. She's the UK correspondent for G4's Attack of the Show and frequently appears on the Greg James Show, Radio One.

Alex joins ex-Edge associate editor David McCarthy who also provides original content for the Rising Star Games site. Thankfully, he has never been a model.

"We're thrilled to have Alex on board," says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. "She's smart, sassy and fiercely knowledgeable about games and Japanese culture - making her a perfect fit for the site. Alongside David McCarthy, Alex will be writing about anything that takes her fancy, and we're sure she'll prove to be an enormously popular Hoshi columnist."

"This is just part of the plan to dominate the Internet," adds Alex. "As a fan of Rising Star Games, Japan and its culture, I'm delighted to be paid money to write about anything I want. Hoshi Club members can look forward to me banging on about Harvest Moon, my adventures in gaming and literally anything else that takes my fancy. Who knows, I may even bung in some pictures, too."

Rising Star Games Hoshi Club is a hub for fans of Japan and its games. Located at www.risingstargames.com/hoshi it offers original and syndicated editorial, dedicated forums and a shop. It's free to join, and Hoshi members receive all Rising Star Games news ahead of anyone else.
