Los Angeles, CA.,—September 04, 2009 —Com2uS, a leading developer and publisher of iPhone and iPod touch games, today announced a new update of HOMERUN BATTLE 3D, formerly known as Baseball Slugger: Home Run Race 3D.
Rebranding the game that has already been successful in the App Store is unexpected, yet interesting marketing strategy, which is also technically possible by the application’s update function in the App Store. Existing users who has purchased the game automatically receive notification through the update icon and by a click of a button, the game should have been changed its name to HOMERUN BATTLE 3D.
Com2uS believes that HOMERUN BATTLE 3D is a better name to position the game not only as a baseball game but also casual sports game with online matchup mode described as “Battle”.
“It’s a home run hitting game that you can challenge with your friend online,” said Don Lim, General Manager of Com2uS America, “and we wanted to rebrand the game as simple and clear as possible, best online HOMERUN BATTLE game and it’s 3D.”
