Helping Start-up, Small and Medium-sized Games Developers Grow

Tiga staging one-day event as part of the London Games Festival.

Tiga and Nesta are pleased to announce the details of their one day event ‘Helping Start-up, Small and Medium-sized Games Developers Grow’ which is taking place on 28th October as part of London Games Festival.

We have two keynote political speakers: Ed Vaizey, MP, Conservative Shadow Arts Minister, will give us an overview of Conservative policy towards helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the games sector; and Don Foster, MP, the Liberal Democrats’ Shadow Culture Media and Sport Secretary will outline his Party’s approach towards the games industry.

Jeff Meek will be looking at ‘Creative Accounting for Creative industries, covering accounting policies, tax planning issues, funding and sourcing grants, financial controls and cash flow management.

Tim Gatland of Fund 4 Games will talk about successful Project Management strategies and ways of improving use of capital.

Other sessions include Nesta’s ‘Promoting Innovation’; Pam Williams of Kuju will describe a strategy for tackling skill shortages through the adoption of good retention policies; John Nash from Blitz Games will discuss improving workforce performance through training; and Richard Clegg will explain how to manage your workforce successfully and legally.

An early bird discount price is offered until 9th October. £50 for Tiga members and £75 for non members. After this the price will be £75 for Tiga members and £99 for non members.
