Heath joins 4mm Games in UK

Company strikes deal with Konami; establishes sales and marketing office in London

Geoff Heath has joined 4mm Games' advisory board, as the ambitious company sets up a sales and marketing office in London for upcoming title Def Jam Rapstar.

4mm Games, formed last year by Ex-Rockstar staffers Jamie King and Gary Foreman, along with Def Jam Enterprises exec Paul Coyne and former Image Metrics CEO Nicholas Perett, has also struck a distribution deal with Konami for its first title.

"In my career in the videogames industry, I have rarely come across such a passionate, creative and talented management team as the guys at 4mm," said Heath. "I am thrilled to be a part of their future success and use the great things I’ve learned over the years to support them in becoming the major global player I know they are destined to be."

4mm plans to release titles across multiple platforms, focusing on contemporary social games that are connected through its Constantly Connected Gaming platform.

"4mm's vision is of a world where people can play games together, constantly, everywhere. We deliver on this vision through our Constantly Connected Gaming platform and by being closer to our players," added Perrett. "A London office is key to us being better able to serve our European customers, wherever they are."

Heath was instrumental in establishing Euro offices for Activision and setting up Mindscape in the region, and also serves as CEO for NCsoft in Europe.
