HandyGames launches new mobile Memory game

With a football theme, just in time for the World Cup

Independent mobile games developer HandyGames is teaming up with Germany's leading board game manufacturer, Ravensburger, to bring the world's best known memory game to mobile phones.

Since 1959, over 55 million copies of Memory have been sold in over 80 countries around the world, and HandyGames is hoping to extend that reach with a unique World Cup football edition exclusively developed for the mobile phone platform.

Markus Kassulke, CEO of HandyGames, commented: "Together with Ravensburger, we are pleased to release the famous Memory game adaptation for mobile phones. The game concept Play, Remember, Have Fun will definitively attract all age groups as Memory is known to be enjoyed by both the young and the old."

The World Cup edition, challenging players to uncover matching pairs of cards and promising intuitive controls and a "hot-hand" multiplayer mode, is scheduled for release worldwide through leading operators and games portals on June 7th.

The launch marks the first in a series of mobile Memory games scheduled for release by the company and HandyGames hopes to further its relationship with Ravensburger to create multiple themed and original memory games.
