Hands-On bringing Hero's Lore to Europe
More than 25,000 gamers already playing in Korea
Hands-On Mobile has announced plans to bring Hero's Lore 2: The Knight of the Frozen Sea to Europe following its huge success in Asian territories.
The game is the most popular multiplayer mobile phone title in Korea, where it launched in November 2006. Around 25,000 gamers play Hero's Lore 2 every day, and have so far taken part in more than 1.5 million network battles.
It's consistently ranked as the number one game in the mobile charts, based on sales and user rankings on the three major Korean carriers - SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom. The game also topped user surveys by KyungHyang Game News and MPortal for brand recognition, user experience, game quality and commercial success.
"Interactivity and community are key factors in creating a great mobile game as is demonstrated by the great success of Hero's Lore 2 in one of the world's most competitive mobile markets," said Eric Hobson, president of EMEA, South East Asia and Latin America at Hands-On Mobile.
"With today's technology, it's no longer about just single player games. Innovative games publishers must embrace the consumer's desire for live competition."
Hands-On has yet to announce an official release date for Hero's Lore 2.
