Q Entertainment's Adaptation of Gunpei Yokoi's Classic Ready for Duplication

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (November 2, 2006) - Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. announced today that the exhilarating puzzle title, Gunpey ® for the PSP ® (PlayStation ® Portable) system and Nintendo DS TM has gone gold. In homage to the game's late, legendary creator Gunpei Yokoi, Q Entertainment has finished putting their unique presentational spin on Gunpey, a challenging, fast-paced puzzle title that flaunts mesmerizing visuals, hypnotic grooves and addictive puzzle gameplay. With a variety of challenging modes, unlockable signature skins, multiplayer capabilities and a plethora of original music, Gunpey is a must-have title for all shoppers in the hand-held market this upcoming holiday season when it ships November 14, 2006.

"While deceptively simple upon first glance, Gunpey offers hardcore gamers a true challenge and surprising depth as their skill level develops," said Naruo Uchida, Vice President of Localization at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. "Frenetic gameplay combines seamlessly with Q Entertainment's trademark visuals and music to create a truly unique, visceral puzzle gaming experience."

Players will sweat as they rush to explode rows of rapidly ascending lines, flipping squares in five consecutive columns in hopes of connecting a chain. When an incomplete link slips through the player's grasp and reaches the top of the screen, it is game over. In-game artwork, backgrounds and music never take a backseat as both PSP system and Nintendo DS formats offer completely unique versions of the game, each with its own distinct presentation and soundtrack. The PSP system version of Gunpey will deliver a more sophisticated, techno-futuristic experience, while the Nintendo DS presents a whimsical and lighthearted theme. With 40 varied backgrounds, stylized music, and two-player multiplayer over wireless Ad-Hoc connectivity for the PSP system version, plus the innovative touch screen interface and music composer of the DS version, Q Entertainment's latest masterpieces are sure to thrill puzzlers this holiday season.
