GUITAR HERO EUROPEAN WEBSITE LAUNCHED

Facts, figures, downloads and first accessories now available at www.guitarherogame.co.uk

Wednesday 12 April 2006/... Guitar Hero publisher RedOctane has today fully launched its dedicated European Website which offers information, downloads and an online store where consumers can buy the smash hit game. A number of accessories - which include additional Gibson SG controllers, carry cases and clothing - will be online shortly.

Priced at £29.99 / e49.99, the additional Gibson SG controllers allow two duelling guitarists to play against each other in Guitar Hero's thrilling multiplayer mode. With two players plugged in and cranked up to 11, Guitar Hero is transformed into a real battle of the bands, as players alternate between individual sections of each song. During key moments, both players thrash off notes together.

With each guitarist battling for the appreciation of the crowd, choosing when to play the guitar upright in order to active the all-important 'star power' bonuses becomes more important than ever.

"We're delighted to be able to offer European consumers a localised site which features information specific to their territories," says Dave Noble, RedOctane. "Guitar Hero is a game which is ridiculously thrilling as a solo performance, but it really comes alive when two guitarists are battling it out against one another. Whilst we are unable to offer a significant amount of additional controllers at the moment, we're hoping the few we do have available will go down well with those keenest to play with a friend."

The Guitar Hero game and Gibson SG bundle is available now for PlayStation 2 in the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux from all good stores. RedOctane accessories including additional Gibson SG controllers are available from www.guitarherogame.co.uk. The Official Guitar Hero Forum is located at: http://forum.guitarherogame.com/

A warning video illustrating how hard the game will make you rock has been issued by RedOctane, and is available here: http://tinyurl.com/ejbgx

A mainland European rollout will continue over coming months.
