Guitar Hero Controllers Go Solo
Extra Guitar Hero SG Controllers Now Available In Store
Guitar Hero players looking to form duets can now do so easily, as publisher RedOctane has begun shipping a limited number of solo Guitar Hero SG Controllers into stores.
These peripherals are modelled on the Gibson SG - and are identical to those included with the full version of Guitar Hero. The guitar controller is available from today, priced £29.99.
In multi-player mode, two guitarists compete for the ultimate rock accolade as they thrash off individual sections of each song. Tunes alternate between the guitarists, with each player being judged on accuracy, timing and judicious use of Star Power. The player with the highest score at the end of the track wins - but with clever use of the game's multipliers and bonuses, evenly matched guitar heroes will be contesting victory until the very final note.
"Guitar Hero is a staggering single-player game made even better in multi-player mode," says Kelly Sumner, CEO, RedOctane. "We're delighted to now be able to offer a limited number of standalone guitars in-store for those keen to settle musical scores."
Guitar Hero is available now for PlayStation 2, priced £49.99 complete with a Gibson replica Guitar Hero SG controller. Additional Guitar Hero SG Controllers are now available in selected stores or online at www.guitarherogame.co.uk, priced £29.99.
