Guerrilla Games and MachineGames round out Devcom 2018 line-up

Pre-Gamescom developer conference adds Jan-Bart van Beek and Jens Matthies, will have more than 50 talks and panels

Guerrilla Games' Jan-Bart van Beek and MachineGames' Jens Matthies have joined the line-up for Devcom 2018.

The pre-Gamescom developer conference has now finalised its two-day schedule, with Guerrilla Games art director Jan-Bart van Beek and MachineGames co-founder Jens Matthies the key names among the final wave of speakers.

Between them, van Beek and Matthies will delve into the development of two of the most acclaimed games of recent times: Guerrilla's Horizon: Zero Dawn and MachineGames' Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Other additions to the schedule include Giants Software's Yann Le Tensorer, Ubisoft Blue Byte's Marc Braun and Crytek's Collin Bishop.

Devcom 2018 will have more than 50 talks and panels covering every aspect of the games industry. Other key speakers include God of War creative director Cory Barlog, Blizzard Entertainment's Saralyn Smith, and ArenaNet's Jason VandenBerghe.

However, amidst all these new additions is one notable absence: the venerable designer Peter Molyneux, who has withdrawn from the event despite being among the first speakers announced for the event.

Devcom takes place from August 19 to 20, the two days before Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. For more information, check the official website.
