GTA IV retains top spot on UK charts
Despite a significant decline in second week sales, Rockstar's GTA IV remains atop the UK charts
GTA IV sales declined 77 per cent in the game's second week of release according to UK sales data released by Chart-Track, but the game nevertheless retained the top spot in the All Formats Chart.
Chart-Track also reported that the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV improved its share to 62 per cent of sales - compared to 55 per cent of sales last week.
GTA IV outsold the second place game - Nintendo's Wii Fit - by a margin of 4 to 1. Last week, the margin was 9 to 1.
Wii Fit sales slipped 48 per cent this past week but remained in the second spot. Mario Kart, however, dropped from fifth to ninth place. Iron Man: The Official Video Game was the only new entry in the Top Ten this week.
The Top Ten best-selling games in the UK for the week ended May 10 were as follows:
