Groovin' Blocks

Wii rhythm puzzler gets on down to the iPhone too.

NEW YORK - October 27, 2009

Zoo Games, Inc. announced today that Groovin’ Blocks, the popular puzzle/rhythm game hybrid first seen on Wii™, is now available on the iTunes App Store. Like its console predecessor, the game features addicting puzzle action centered around high-energy original music. The portable version will feature all-new levels and new songs to keep you rockin’ on the go. Presented with a minimalistic style, the gameplay is easy to learn, but to become a Groovin’ master, players will need quick wits and the ability to keep a beat. Luckily, the game’s auto-save feature makes this a perfect title for those small blocks of time that iPhone gamers live for. With a perfect balance of casual action, Groovin’ Blocks will be livening up lunch breaks and dull commutes this fall.

Groovin’ Blocks for Wii™ challenged gamers with a unique blend of two popular genres: puzzle action and music rhythm. The portable version takes the core gameplay and presents it in an all-new, touch-friendly package. The electronic soundtrack sets the beat, while colored block pieces fall from above. Players are challenged to form color clusters and clear the board, with bonus incentives for dropping to the beat. With special pieces and score multipliers, the game rewards gamers with inventive puzzle strategy, good rhythm and precise timing. Skilled competitors are rewarded with stars for high scores and bonuses, and can hit “Superbeats” to multiply their scores as they maneuver their way through both single player and multiplayer action. With a wide range of songs and three difficulty levels, the game lets gamers of all skill levels form combos, blast blocks and nod to the fresh, pulsing beats.

Features:

• Take your groove on the road with the portable version of the hit genre mashup

• Full touch support

• Match blocks to the rhythm and hit “Superbeats” to double your multiplier

• Original electronic soundtrack adds intensity to tried-and-true puzzle mechanics

• Over 50 levels of addicting puzzle action

• Unlock power-ups and new songs through star award system

• 3 skill levels– fun for casual gamers and hardcore puzzle fans alike

• Compete in multiple modes such as Head-to-Head against a friend, or team up to achieve high scores together in Co-op Mode

• Colorblind mode makes the game accessible for everyone

The game is now available in the iPhone App Store for a price of $1.99. So pop in your earbuds, crank up Groovin’ Blocks on your iPhone or iPod touch™ and get in the groove!
