Dio, a warrior shrouded in mystery and darkness, heralds from the stygian abyss of an alternate dimension beyond the ken of mortal men. This exciting new character who starts at level 30 appears to fight without a weapon, however summons a weapon that physically manifests his powers during battle, making him lethal in close and mid-range combat. With the release of Dio, there are numerous updates to the game that include a revamped practice mode UI to accommodate more characters and an easier character selection method that will now allow players to select characters with a new drop down menu. In addition, the item description window now supports transparency so players can view their inventory effortlessly.

"The exclusive North American release of Dio is huge for Grand Chase, not only is Dio an exciting addition to the Chase with his passive skills and powerful attacks, but this is the first time we've released a character in a non-human, evil form-- and at level 30," said Chris Lee, CEO at Ntreev USA. Unlike other Grand Chase characters, players can create short cuts for Dio's basic skills and specials which allows players to create a variety of combos and makes Dio an easy to use character for new players. Dio's special skills and techniques include a Death Scythe and Death Star, a Rake Hand, Vengeful Sword, Necrotic Infernal Sword and many more.

Players can also expect an exclusive bonus with the launch of Dio; for any player that completes the Dio cash mission, they will receive a pair of permanent level 20 Demon's Black Wings with selectable properties! This is an all-new item added to Dio's cash mission reward that is only available in the North American version of the game.
