Friday 9 September 2005/... NCsoftTM Europe has today announced extensive bonuses for early adopters of the forth-coming City of VillainsTM. In addition, retail chains GAME and HMV have announced that they will also be supporting the pre-order campaign with in-store displays and take-home discs for customers who secure an early limited edition.

City of Villains is the latest offering from developer Cryptic StudiosTM, the creators of the US chart-topping City of HeroesTM. Both City of Heroes and City of Villains are designed to run in conjunction with each other, and also stand alone as single games in their own right. City of Villains will be available at the end of October, exclusively for PC.

Those who place their orders early will enjoy a host of benefits which include an exclusive in-game costume option, Beta access, a two-day head start on those who receive the game on the official release date, and exclusive artwork, wallpapers, storyline information, maps and digital comics.

Those wishing to purchase the goodie-filled pre-order package should either head to their nearest UK GAME or HMV store, or point their browsers to one of the following sites -

Max Brown, Head of Sales and Operations at NCsoft Europe said: "NCsoft has always strived to provide exciting pre-orders which offer extremely good value for money and our release of City of Villains is no different. With the strong success of City of Heroes as our foundation, we're looking forward to seeing how players react to this new side of an already-enthralling universe."

In City of Villains, players will be able to take on villainous personas, customising villain costumes and building bases for their super-power groups. Both the villain costume creator and the base creator will offer the same type of nearly limitless customisation options that made the City of Heroes costume creator so acclaimed.

In addition to a variety of technological advances and a huge set of criminal missions and events within the Rogue Isles, City of Villains will also include player-versus-player (PvP) action and the ability to fight against player controlled heroes from the City of Heroes game within special designated PvP zones.
