Golden Joystick Awards 2009

Final pair of tickets to be auctioned in support of GamesAid.

28/10/09 – Future, the special-interest media group, is offering the last chance for a lucky person to get their hands on the final pair of tickets for this Friday’s Golden Joystick Awards in a special day-long charity auction on eBay.

Once again, the Golden Joysticks are proudly supporting GamesAid – the UK video games industry charity. GamesAid supports a diverse range of charities for children and young people - giving something back on the behalf of the industry.

The auction for a pair of tickets runs until 9.30am on Thursday, 29th October at www.tinyurl.com/goldenjoysticks2009. Just 24 hrs later, the lucky bidder and their guest will experience the unforgettable Golden Joystick Awards at the Park Lane Hilton, London.

With a face value of £600, the two tickets are the final chances to get entry to the highly-anticipated event and the incredibly popular aftershow party.

Kicking off at 11.15am with a champagne reception, guests than have a three course meal before TV funnyman Sean Lock takes to the stage to present the 15 prestigious Golden Joysticks. Once the awards are done, the celebrations transfer to the infamous after show party, where Activision’s DJ Hero rocks the party with BBC 1Xtra DJ’s Rampage and the legendary US turntablist DJ Shadow.
