Glu Announces Partnership with Codemasters to Bring Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 to Mobile

Leading mobile publisher to develop genre-leading PC and console cricket game series in time for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007

LONDON, UK - December 15, 2006 - Glu Mobile, a leading global publisher of mobile games, today announced an agreement with Codemasters through which Glu will develop and publish Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 for mobile.

The agreement gives Glu worldwide rights to Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 based on the forthcoming console and PC release of the same name. Due for release in spring 2007 to coincide with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, the game will feature both Brian Lara and Ricky Ponting and will be the first time the genre-leading series from Codemasters has appeared on mobile phones.

The game will provide an in-depth cricket experience for fans, featuring a multi-nation knockout tournament mode, one day international (ODI) modes, exhibition matches, a World Series challenge, the option of playing as Brian Lara or Ricky Ponting in scenario mode, and a practice mode to practice both batting and bowling skills. Additionally, the game will feature Hawk-Eye Technology, as popularised by television coverage of cricket and featured in the best-selling console and PC series. Hawk-Eye technology immerses the player deeper into the game with detailed information on ball movement in an over-by-over analysis. The inclusion of Hawk-Eye makes Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 the most authentic cricket experience on mobile to date.

"We're delighted to be bringing such a well known and respected franchise to mobile," stated Kristian Segerstråle, managing director of EMEA, Glu Mobile. "Codemasters is a leading publisher in the videogame industry and the success of this franchise on console and PC has been tremendous. Our aim is to establish Brian Lara International Cricket on mobile as the de facto cricket game for mobile gamers and we look forward to working with Codemasters to make this happen."

Matt Davies, director of Codemasters Mobile, commented, "Brian Lara International Cricket remains the genre-leading cricket gaming brand. With a heritage of more than 10 years in the market, it's great to be working with Glu to take the award-winning series to mobile phones."
