Gismart announces investment program for indie devs

Publisher of music-based mobile apps and games offers up to $1 million to selected developers

Music-based mobile publisher Gismart today revealed its new investment program for independent developers.

Gismart will be offering an investment of up to $1 million to selected mobile developers, with an interest in hyper-casual games, music, entertainment, education, health and more.

The company promises "more than just financial support", and will be sharing experience in product management, marketing, and growth, along with administrative and legal matters.

"Gismart is looking to source and invest in world-class talent and dedicated mobile app development teams," said CEO and co-founder Dmitri Lipnitsky.

"The success of a product, from early development through to release and beyond, is dependent on the professionalism, hard work and competence of the teams involved.

"We make our investment decisions based on an in-depth evaluation of the teams behind the project as well as the project itself."

Founded in 2013, Gismart has over 150 employees across two offices in London and Minsk. Last year it has partnered with Appodeal to publish a range of titles.

Its portfolio includes games like Beat Maker Go, Piano Crush, and WeDrum among others, with over 350 million downloads and 17 million monthly active users.
