Advertising agreement reached.

New York, January 28, 2009 – Giant Realm, Inc., a rapidly-growing online media company reaching millions of young men, aged 18 – 34, via its collection of popular entertainment enthusiast sites, today announced that it has signed an exclusive deal with leading Canadian online advertising representation network UpTrend Media.

UpTrend Media is representing Giant Realm’s premium online inventory in the Canadian marketplace and will focus on executing “beyond the banner” campaigns in order to help marketers reach the millennial male who has turned away from traditional media and major online portals and has gravitated towards sites which deliver authentic content and community.

"We are very excited to enter this partnership with Giant Realm,” says Duke McKenzie, managing director of UpTrend Media. “Giant Realm provides Canadian advertisers with access to an elusive young male demographic that can't be reached on TV, magazines and other media formats, and we are confident we have the tools and resources to help them reach this market.”

Giant Realm’s vast Publisher Group is comprised of top enthusiast sites including FirstShowing.net, a premier source for film fans; ShackNews, one of the web’s most popular destinations for PC and console gaming news; and GameRiot, a leading video game community site. The company also operates the Giant Realm Platform, a free web-based social media platform for online publishers who want to significantly enhance their community’s features and functionality. Giant Realm currently reaches 1.3 million Canadian users a month.

“We are pleased to be entering the Canadian marketplace with UpTrend Media as our partner. Their roster of online properties and destination companies is superb and we are certain that we’ll benefit from their strong contacts and industry know-how,” said James Green, CEO, Giant Realm, Inc.

Combined, these targeted verticals allow advertisers to create effective and innovative brand-building media campaigns.

Most recently, UpTrend Media has been working with Canadian online entrepreneurs to give them access to larger advertisers who wouldn’t necessarily consider small businesses in their online advertising strategies.
