GCA to host first ever DICE Summit Asia
Chris Taylor of Gas Powered Games confirmed as speaker at new Asia-Pacific industry event
This year's GCA Games Convention Asia is to host the first ever DICE Summit Asia. The summit will take place on the first day on the GCA conference and feature addresses from seven top international developers; confirmed so far are Masaya Matsuura, president of NanaOn-Sha Co in Japan, and Chris Taylor, founder and director of Gas Powered Games.
"The Academy created the DICE Summit in 2002 to be an exclusive forum for the interactive entertainment community's best minds to share ideas and experiences outside their studios," said Joseph Olin, president of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. "As the cultural influence of games has become truly global, it seemed only natural to create a similar forum to serve the game-makers in Asia-Pacific."
"The partnership with the AIAS for the first DICE Asia Summit adds significantly to GCA's strategy to provide a high-level business platform where global industry leaders meet and exchange knowledge," added Jorg Zeissig, managing director of LMI Asia. "Moreover, it validates the need for a conference and convention in Asia-Pacific."
GCA will take place between September 17-20 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. The summit will run on September 17. Early bird registration for the event is available until August 31.
