GC Developers Conference (GCDC)
(August 18-20, 2008)
LEIPZIG, Germany - August 7, 2008 - The GC Developers Conference (GCDC), today announced that Nick Welch, EMEA business development manager for Massive Inc., will speak about Dynamic In-Game Advertising (DIGA) at this year's event. Under the title, "Investigating the factors that contribute to DIGA dollar success in video games," he will highlight key guidelines for a successful evaluation of DIGA placement. GCDC is Europe's leading developers conference and takes place prior to the GC - Games Convention August 18-20, 2008 in Leipzig.
Welch will focus on the question of what makes a great game the right candidate for DIGA, outlining crucial factors to consider as well as the key forces driving DIGA growth. He brings more than 10 years of experience working in advertising including radio, TV, magazines, online and mobile, focusing on the marketing requirements of video games publishers.
"DIGA is now delivering on its initial promise. The industry has proven growth over the last three years with healthy forecasts for further growth through 2012 and beyond," said Nick Welch. "Advertisers and media agencies strive for innovation and content-rich advertising solutions for their brands, of which DIGA has increasingly become a valuable component."
"In-game advertising is an essential component of the evolving business models for monetizing games on all platforms and that makes the topic a perfect fit for GCDC," said Frank Sliwka, project director of GCDC. "Our goal is to present a program that meets the needs of the global interactive entertainment community and Mr. Welch's presentation will be an excellent addition to our line-up."
