LEIPZIG, SINGAPORE - August 27, 2009 - The first Asia-Pacific Games Directory (APGD) will be launched at GCA Games Convention Asia. Designed and conceptualised by the Games Exchange Alliance (GXA), the directory is the first ever to offer the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on the various gaming companies in Asia Pacific. The launch of the APGD will take place on September 17, 2009 during the GCA Opening Ceremony at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. GCA and GCAC will take place September 17-20, 2009.
"The Asia-Pacific Games Directory is the definitive resource for anyone interested in the Asia Pacific games industry - from a budding local developer looking for a suitable publisher to work with to a European game distributor looking to explore business opportunities in the region. We believe that the directory will help to drive collaboration within the regional games industry and drive business growth," said Aroon Tan, President of Games Exchange Alliance.
"We are delighted that GCA was selected as the platform for the APGD launch," said Jorg Zeissig, Managing Director of LMI Asia Pte Ltd. "Like the APGD, GCA is a neutral platform where industry representatives and Asian games associations can connect to establish good working relationships and mutual ground for the growth of the video games industry."
