GC Asia 2008 details revealed

Games Convention Asia will return on October 9-12 2008, following a successful inaugural event in Singapore in September this year which attracted over 70,000 visitors.

The convention will again feature a developer conference to sit alongside the public show, and will be held at the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre - as it was this year.

Jorg Zeissig, general manager for Leipziger Messe International, stated that the company was keen to build on this year's event.

"We will further the successful concept of having distinct public exhibition and business areas and add additional networking tools to create the optimal environment for both consumer interaction, and business development in the region," he said.

Additionally the company will be opening an office in Singapore to act as a point of contact with local industry partners.

Leipziger Messe also runs the Leipzig-based Games Convention, which this year attracted over 200,000 visitors to Germany in August.
