21-6 Productions has been honoured at the 2005 IndieGamesCon, picking up the Best Single Player and Best of Show awards for its 3D adventure puzzle game, TubeTwist.
The annual event is sponsored by Garage Games, an Internet publishing label for independent games and developers. The company is committed to providing development tools, expertise and key partnerships for independent game developers, and hosts the IndieGamesCon in partnership with several industry brands including Yahoo Games, Microsoft Casual Games, Shockwave.com and RealArcade.
The event is designed as an informal but informative focal point, networking forum and showcase for developers of truly independent games.
Running from the 7th-9th of October in Oregon, the 2005 event has revealed a number of innovative new games, including 21-6 Productions' TubeTwist. The game easily won the Best Single Player award, and went on to win the prestigious Best of Show award, sponsored by Microsoft Casual Games. The remaining two award categories for Best Multiplayer and Most innovative games were won by Realm Wars 2 and Facade respectively.
TubeTwist, in its early stages of development, was voted Most Innovative game at the 2004 IGC event. The title will be added to the list of independent games available for purchase through the Garage Games website, and may be included on additional sites through Garage Games' network of publishing and distribution partners.
