Gamica announces Bell-Fruit Battleships
World first community-based mobile fruit machine
Mobile games publisher Gamica and UK pay-to-play amusement machine manufacturer Bell-Fruit Games have announced the world's first original mobile fruit machine with community features.
"Bell-Fruit has an impressive track record with over 40 years in the fruit machine market. Working closely with Bell-Fruit has enabled us to make Battleships the most realistic and exciting mobile fruit machine today," commented Gamica MD Ferdy Blaset.
"With all the community features enabled, the game brings a new and unique connected gaming experience to mobile gamers."
In addition to the single-player experience, where gamers can spin the reels, take a chance on the Hi-Lo ladder and beat the challenge of the Battleships mode, the new title includes a range of multi-player and community-based features.
Depending on the operator's community platform, Bell-Fruit Battleships can be played using the original or a series of unique multi-player modes, enabling gamers to challenge each other in the high-score stakes, as well as unlocking new features, extras and community challenges.
"Our Battleships game has a tremendous success record and Gamica has succeeded in migrating it superbly onto the mobile platform, delivering a rich experience not currently seen outside UK pubs and arcades," said John Austin, Bell-Fruit Games MD.
"Adding community interest by introducing a high-score table or multi-player features can only further enhance its already proven player appeal."
Headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, Gamica is a privately owned mobile entertainment publisher. Partnering with industry giants such as Nokia and MTV Networks, the company continues to expand its range of J2ME mobile games across multiple genres.
Bell-Fruit Games is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bell-Fruit Group. The company is hoping to extend its product range through strategic partnerships with mobile and videogame industry specialists.
