GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program

Community established for upcoming development platform.

Toronto, Canada – September 8, 2009 – TransGaming Inc. (TSX-V: TNG) today announced the release of the GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program aimed at creating a vibrant third party video game development community for the GameTreeTV Platform, being deployed this fall. The Authorized GameTreeTV Developer Program gives developers access to the GameTreeTV Software Development Kit (SDK), technical support, and platform hardware required to bring their games to the next generation of set-top boxes and connected Consumer Electronic (CE) devices for the home.

GameTreeTV delivers a comprehensive on-demand gaming solution optimized for HD TV through the next generation of set-to boxes and connected CE devices based on Intel ® CE Media Processors. The GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program empowers content creators to build and deliver innovative games specifically for the GameTreeTV Platform, allowing them to realize new distribution and revenue opportunities in the rapidly growing interactive App-TV environment.

“The global response to GameTreeTV has been amazing and game developers have been eagerly working with us to ready their games for commercial distribution on the GameTreeTV platform for this fall,” commented Vikas Gupta, President & CEO of TransGaming, Inc. “The GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program allows us to create a broad content development community for the GameTreeTV Platform, ensuring we have the best and most innovative catalog of games for CE consumers globally. Our objective with the Program is to deliver a balanced library of video games that blends the most innovative independently developed content with games based on well recognized franchises.”

TransGaming released the GameTreeTV Beta SDK late last year, which was received very favorably by the game development community. Over 200 independent and established game developers from around the world registered to take part in the Beta Program. The official release of the GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program gives game developers access to a new global consumer audience, and all the tools required to easily bring their games to this new digital home Platform. TransGaming is launching the GameTreeTV Authorized Developer Program with some of the industry’s most respected video game developers already registered, including PopCap, Paramount, Sandlot Games, 2D Boy, Her Interactive, Playrix, Blitz Games and more. Combined, these current Authorized Developers potentially bring hundreds of games to the GameTreeTV Platform, and their early adoption has guaranteed their games a leading position in the launch catalog that consumers will enjoy through GameTreeTV.

“We are excited to have our games be part of the fast growing, new environment of in-home, on-demand, interactive entertainment,” commented Ron Powers, Vice President of Product Development for PopCap Games. “Leveraging the GameTreeTV global distribution Platform is an attractive opportunity for PopCap, and we look forward to serving our customers on this platform and enjoying greater reach for our games.”

Cable operators, Managed Service Operators (MSOs), and CE manufacturers globally are embracing Intel’s new CE media processors and are ushering in a new generation of broadband-based interactive offerings for their digital home consumers. TransGaming is working closely with these companies while leveraging its industry expertise and developer relationships to create the most comprehensive games catalog possible for the GameTreeTV Gaming Platform.

For game developers, GameTreeTV serves as a brand new distribution channel for their content with an opportunity to reach multi-millions of consumers.
