Hey guys and gals,

I hope you’ve all had time to recover from last week’s press-splosion. This week’s GameTap release is Microsoft Games Studios’ Freelancer. Originally released in 2003, this critically acclaimed space-sim was the brainchild of Chris Roberts, designer of the landmark Wing Commander series.

New Release For Subscription Service, Available 06.04.09:

Freelancer- After surviving the destruction of the space station Freeport 7, Edison Trent is left with no ship and little money. As Trent, you must make your way in the galaxy as a freelancer in any way you choose. Fight pirates or join them, mine or trade, and solve the mysteries of the Freeport 7 explosion along the way. But be careful, the galaxy is a dangerous place, and you will have to fight to survive.
