"Every penny we raised will go toward helping kids fight cancer"
Retailer Gamestop and its family of brands, ThinkGeek, Kongregate and Game Informer, has raised over $760,000 in donations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
"Our customers and associates continue to show their giving spirit through the generous donations they made to help the children of St. Jude," said Matt Hodges, vice president of Public and Investor Relations.
"On behalf of everyone at St. Jude, we would like to thank our customers for donating and supporting this year's campaign. Every penny we raised will go toward helping kids fight cancer."
Its the fourth time the retailer has run the campaign and has helped raise more than $5 million since 2013.
St. Jude's opened in 1962 and has treated children from all over the world. Treatments invented at the hospital have helped increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%.
