Gamestation store opening

UK retailer opens 250th branch this Friday.

Gamestation, the UK’s fastest growing retailer of video and computer games, will open its 250th store in Meadowhall, Sheffield on Friday 28th November.

With an exclusive preview party for its Head Office Team, Store Managers and Publishers on Thursday evening, the new store will then open its doors to the public at 9am on Friday morning.

With an exciting launch weekend lined up, customers will be treated to a host of spectacular opening offers as well as the chance to enter into a draw to win £100 of gift vouchers to spend in the new store. The local Hallam FM team will be on hand offering on the spot prizes for shoppers who want to take part in the unique ‘Blender’ contest, challenging people to drink hefty cocktail concoctions created from the likes of octopus, chilli, custard and piccalilli! Registration details can be found at: http://www.hallamfm.co.uk/

The opening line-up will also include guest appearances from gaming icons Mario & Sonic the Hedgehog and the first 50 customers through the doors will be presented with a special goodie bag.

Says Martyn Gibbs, Chief Executive of Gamestation; “Meadowhall is the perfect location for our 250th store due to its huge footfall and catchment area. This opening really is a landmark for us and proves that Gamestation continues to be the UK’s fastest growing games retailer – a success we plan to drive forward into 2009.”
