GamesMaster
Take your reading to the third dimension with the latest issue.
14/07/10 – GamesMaster, the UK’s bestselling multi-format videogames magazine, serves up an extra dimension to its coverage of the world’s biggest games show, E3 – in its latest issue. Following the sensational announcement Nintendo’s 3DS handheld, GamesMaster celebrates with its first-ever 3D issue.
On sale across the UK now, the September issue of GamesMaster magazine comes with a FREE set of ChromaDepth 3D glasses – the next-generation Avatar-style clear lenses, which create eye-popping 3D visuals, without having to make the pages blurry.
Bringing the special 3D effect to the fore across forty-pages, GamesMaster is the only place gamers can experience the Nintendo 3DS and its games as developers intended. Thanks to exclusive access to the wonder handheld, GamesMaster’s 8-page hands on is delivered in glorious 3D, brining readers closer than ever before to the hardware, whilst showcasing its roster of 3D games, including Mario Kart 3DS, PilotWings Resort and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
Also inside the E3 3D section, GamesMaster rounds up every major announcement from the show, including Rage, Need for Speed, Zelda, Halo Reach, Killzone 3 and many more. GamesMaster also puts Microsoft’s Kinect for the Xbox 360 and Sony’s Move for the PS3 head-to-head in a comprehensive face-off.
Issue 228 of GamesMaster also reviews Crackdown 2, Dragon Quest IX, Lego Harry Potter, and previews Homefront. The package is rounded off with an 82-page tips book dedicated to the biggest game this year so far, Red Dead Redemption
Robin Alway, Editor-in-Chief of GamesMaster, said:
“For the games industry and GamesMaster readers alike, the unveiling of Nintendo’s 3DS handheld at E3 was completely game changing so it’s an honour to be the only place you can see it, as nature intended, in 3D. We are delighted to be celebrating a new age of gaming with our first-ever issue in 3D, allowing gamers to get closer to E3 than ever before.”
Rob Saunders, Head of Communications, Nintendo UK, added:
'The 3D issue of GamesMaster is a typically innovative approach to E3 game coverage that we've come to expect from this magazine and we at Nintendo are delighted to have our new hardware at the forefront of this issue.'
GamesMaster 3D is on sale now, with a coverprice of £3.99, including a pair of ChromaDepth 3D glasses.
