GamesMaster
Given a fresh look and some new features to boot.
21/05/10 – GamesMaster – the UK’s favourite and most exciting multiformat games magazine has unveiled its fresh and punchy new look this week – the biggest reboot in its prestigious 17-year history.
Loved by gamers and respected by the industry, GamesMaster Magazine has been passionate about videogames since 1993, and the redesign delivers a fresh, re-energised look that balances a wealth of new sections and up-to-the-minute content with a healthy dollop of nostalgia for one of the UK’s best-known games media icons.
The new look GamesMaster magazine is upscaling to 116-pages, and uses the extra space to reflect the ever-expanding reach of videogames. The new-look magazine will include coverage of mobile, online and social network gaming, and GamesMaster’s respected reviews coverage will also feature regular slots for the latest PlayStation Network, Wii Shop, Xbox Live Marketplace and iPhone releases, as well as the new generation of free-to-play online games.
Retaining the sense of passion and fun that made it the UK’s bestselling multi-format games magazine, the rebooted GamesMaster introduces a load of new regular features – including:
GM XS - takes readers even deeper into their favourite games with multi-player reviews, user-generated content, how-to's, tips, gaming challenges and a retro section that spotlights console favourites from days past. The Hall of Fame - provides buyers guide advice on every format, including portable and mobile.* The GM Fanbase - doubles the size of the readers’ own section to include more contributions from GM’s social network pages, fan art, debate and competitions.
To celebrate the relaunch of GamesMaster issue #226 will feature an exclusive first look at Gears of War 3, plus definitive reviews of Super Mario Galaxy 2, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake and UFC Undisputed 2010.
The rebooted GamesMasteris on sale now across the UK, costing £3.99.
