GamesIndustry.biz Network passes 30,000 members
Business community continues to grow as greater numbers of industry people sign up
The total membership for the GamesIndustry.biz Network has now passed the 30,000 mark, as more and more industry people sign up to be a part of the market-leading trade community.
Since free registration for access to content was introduced in January this year, business sign-ups have trebled. In addition, the site has released a free body textiPhone app, giving members the opportunity to stay connected and in the picture while on the move, as well as a new, localised site for the German market run by MCV founder Christoph Holowaty.
GamesIndustry.biz has also been delighted to partner with the DICE, GDC and Nordic Game conferences so far this year, providing online schedules and networking functions for the just-finished event in Sweden, and trialling new event blogs for body textGDC and body textNordic Game that bring more of a sense of colour to readers who like their content in one easily-digestible location.
"2010 has been a great year for GamesIndustry.biz so far - we've been hard at work trying to make the content and functionality ever-better for an amazing industry, so to hit 30,000 members before May is really a heart-warming endorsement," said Phil Elliott, managing editor of the site.
"Of course, we're far from finished with our work and we already have a long list of improvements and additions we're keen to make, including the introduction of a much-requested official blog in the next couple of months."
By moving to a system of full registration in January, GamesIndustry.biz made clear its remit of focusing purely on the trade, and as a market-leader in understanding the precise nature of its readership.
