PC gaming update and patch technology provider GameShadow has announced the appointment of Nicholas Lovell to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
PC gaming update and patch technology provider GameShadow has announced the appointment of Nicholas Lovell to the role of chief executive officer.
Lovell has served as chairman of the Oxfordshire based company for the past three years in addition to his role as MD of Lodestar Partners, a corporate finance firm focusing on the computer and videogame industry.
Tony Treadwell, GameShadow founder and COO, commented: "Nicholas has been a great believer in our business and has been very supportive as Chairman for the past three years. His decision to take up an executive role at the company is a powerful indication of the potential of our business, and we are delighted to have him on board."
Lovell previously served as CFO of ShopSmart, a venture-backed comparison shopping engine sold to Barclaycard in 2001. The new CEO has also spent eight years at Deutsche Bank, both in equity research and corporate finance.

The company's proprietary patch and update service Uses a simple desktop application to remove the chore of searching for patches, mods, updates and driver upgrades by automatically locating and installing up-to-the-minute upgrades for over 1350 games and multiple graphics card and system drivers.
