The computer games industry in Germany remains a growth market and offers qualified applicants interesting professional prospects. For this reason, IDG Entertainment Media GmbH in cooperation with Koelnmesse and the coordination centre Ausbildung in Medienberufen (AIM - Training in Media Professions) will be presenting the "Jobs & Careers" centre at gamescom. On 21 and 22 August 2009, companies will be able to introduce themselves to potential employees on an area covering around 200 square metres and demonstrate the professional opportunities on offer in the games industry.

In order to ensure companies have an eye-catching stage on which to present themselves as attractive employers and are able to inspire and acquire highly qualified personnel, gamescom is offering a professional all-inclusive service including an individual trade fair stand in the "Jobs & Careers" centre over a period of five days. This provides applicants with the ideal opportunity to obtain a quick overview, to get in touch with HR managers directly, to submit application documents and have an initial interview. In addition, the "Jobs & Careers" centre at gamescom offers exhibitors and visitors a diverse supporting programme based on the theme "Careers in the games industry" - including top speakers, podium discussions and countless company presentations.
