GamesAid appointments

Ian Livingstone and Caroline Miller become charity trustees.

London, 28th June 2010 – GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, today confirmed the appointment of two distinguished games industry veterans as trustees; Ian Livingstone OBE, Life President of Eidos and co-founder of Games Workshop, and Caroline Miller, co-founder of entertainment technology PR agency, Indigo Pearl.

Livingstone is a Non-Executive Director of ELSPA, Chair of Skillset’s Computer Games Skills Council, Vice Chair of the BAFTA Games Committee and an advisor to the British Council.

He was awarded an OBE in 2006, a BAFTA Special Award in 2002, and an Honorary Doctorate of Technology for his contribution to the UK computer games industry.

Miller’s industry career stems from senior positions held at Virgin Interactive and Crave Entertainment, through to co-founding Indigo Pearl in 2000 where she has delivered high-profile campaigns and PR consultancy for games publishers and developers.

Ian Livingstone said: “GamesAid is a great, quantifiable success story of the games industry, something which everybody can take great pride in when seeing the money raised put to such good use. I’m delighted and honoured to become a trustee.”

Caroline Miller said: “It’s a real honour to be invited to work with GamesAid in this way. I have complete admiration for all that the charity has achieved.”

They join Sarah Seaby, Vice Chair and other trustees, Miles Jacobson Rupert Loman and Mark Strachan.
