games™ is on target with 3-D CodeMasters Heatseeker cover

Imagine Publishing joins forces with veteran games publisher Codemasters to promote the launch of its new game

For Immediate Release 22 March 2007

Today issue 55 of games goes on sale across the UK and the world with a unique 3-D cover to celebrate the arrival of Codemasters' upcoming next-gen launch Heatseeker. The inside front cover opens up to reveal a pop-up jetfighter and this is the first cover treatment of its kind in videogames magazines.

Since Imagine acquired games in January 2006, the magazine team has striven to work closely with many key publishers, such as Nintendo and Microsoft, to continue to deliver innovative and original covers, and this latest partnership with Codemasters has led to the most unique cover treatment to date.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this key initiative with one of the UK's most revered games publishers," commented Imagine Publishing's Advertising Director, Scott Caisley. "It's this sort of ground-breaking innovation that creates genuine excitement both at retail and within the gaming community, and you'll be seeing a lot more of this from Imagine in the months to come."

"It's these things that really set games apart from every other videogames magazine," commented Simon Phillips, Editor In Chief of games. "And you can be sure that there are plenty of bold ideas ready for future issues to ensure that games maintains its Industry-respected reputation."

games is highly respected equally within the game industry and gaming fraternity thanks to being accessible to its readership and through the way it refuses to bow down to PR pressure.
