Games Convention Online 2010

Registration for the trade and business matching now underway.

EIPZIG, Germany - May 18, 2010 - From July 8-10, 2010, the GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE will provide a special business area with access for trade visitors only. For this, an international exhibition section and a Business Matching Lounge are being organized in the Congress Centre Leipzig (CCL), as well as numerous business talks. Over the three days of the trade show, international industry experts will meet to discuss new developments and trends. Registration for the trade visitor area and Business Matching is available on the website as of now.

As well as viewing the exhibition, trade visitors have the option of attending a range of Business talks. With international speakers, talks and panel discussions will focus on topics such as “Social Games”, “Mobile Games” and “International Markets”. In addition, and as well as the dialogue panel on the first day, the Hans Bredow Institute is organizing three Business Talks which will look into the use, design and perception of social games.

After last year's positive response, the GCO is again offering Business Matching. A trade visitor ticket gives access to the holder's own Business Matching account. This means that personal appointments for meetings with other companies can be arranged and coordinated in advance of the event.

Silvana Kuerschner, Strategy Director Games Convention Global, explains: “The system is particularly helpful in paving the way for international contacts. The platform can be used to set up new contacts and supports optimum coordination of appointments during the trade show.”

The four-day ticket for trade visitors costs 150 euros. The price of a one-day ticket is 60 euros. Students pay a reduced price of 60 euros for the four-day ticket and 25 euros for a one-day ticket. Tickets can be ordered online at: www.gamesconvention.com/en/business/trade-visitors/registration/.
