GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE

(8 – 11 July 2010)

Leipzig - 21 April, 2010 - The GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE is being held for the second time in Leipzig from 8 to 11 July. As part of the only trade show for browser, client and mobile games, the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) hosts Business Talks from 8 to 10 July, dealing with online and mobile games. The focus is on the latest developments and trends.

Silvana Kuerschner, Strategy Director Games Convention Global, explains: “The success of the first GCO demonstrated how important it is for the online and mobile games industry to have its own platform, specifically supporting dialogue within the industry. For this reason and in addition to the planned Business Talks, the GCO is also issuing a Call for Papers to all of the industry's interested experts and companies.”

With immediate effect, international experts in the industry are invited to submit their topics for special interest talks, panel discussions and company presentations. The closing date for all interested parties is 7 May, 2010.

The coverage of the Business Talks includes the following topics:

• Business & Legal

• Development & Production

• Browser Based Games

• Client Based Games

• Social Games

• Mobile Games

• Internationalisation and International Markets

Based on these key focuses, outcomes and perspectives of relevance in practice will be discussed with reference to business models, micropayment, the issues of start-up and investment, data security, game design, programming, open source and localization, international networks and community management.

Submissions can be entered on the GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE website at www.gamesconvention.com/business/business-talk/call-for-papers/.
