Geo-social network developer raises $500,000 of funding.

Gamersband is designed to enable gamers to connect with people living nearby, who share the same games or consoles. On Gamersband, players can create challenging zones and tournaments tied to places on maps such as buildings, streets, schools, workplaces or cities, and evolve within local rankings. Gamersband is open to all platforms (consoles and computers) and to all kind of games (sports, music, action, racing, strategy, fighting, role-playing…), reaching out to the world's 700 million gamers with the goal of delivering useful services for communities and video games publishers and stores.
Gamersband has been designed by Antoine Frankart and Matthieu Dallon, co-founders of the company Oxent and gathers already 4,000 beta testers.
Antoine Frankart, 24, in charge of engineering and innovation, is also the creator of the Internet community « eGame-star.com » hosting 30 000 gaming teams' websites. Antoine is the Award winner 2009 of the leading national French entrepreneurship contest, Le Petit Poucet, and Award winner 2010 of the Entrepreneurship contest of the French Ministry of Economy.
Matthieu Dallon, 36, in charge of strategic development, marketing and communication, is the creator of the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC), the Gaming Show of Paris, the Fnac Trophy of video games, the Cyberleagues ranking system over Internet; former producer of the Lan-Arena from 2000 to 2002; former president and CEO of Ligarena and Games-Services.
