GameJump publishes new report on mobile gaming
Adventure titles prove most popular with consumers
Greystripe Inc., the creator of mobile games portal GameJump.com, has published a new report which reveals that adventure titles are most popular with its users.
The report, GameJump.com Mobile Game Consumer Insights, is based on a random sampling of more than 50,000 players. It includes statistics from GameJump's registered users and Greystripe's AdWRAP advertising network.
The most popular genres after adventure are action, puzzle, sports and casino. Texas Hold'Em Poker is the most played game on GameJump, followed by Adventure Boy in Zooloo Land and Black Jack. Also in the top ten are Aqualife, Baja Buggy, Ghost Hunter and 1941: Frozen Front - plus perennial puzzle favourites SuDoKu and Brick Annoyed!.
Nearly seven out of 10 GameJump users are aged between 18 and 34, while 31 per cent are between 25 and 34 and 15 per cent fall in the 13 to 17 year old age bracket. In the US, 79 per cent of GameJump users are male - but the figure falls to 59 per cent outside North America.
