GameHouse Great Game Awards

Three of Youdagames titles nominated.

Hilversum, July 5, 2010 – Dutch based online game company, Youdagames, is nominated with three of its games for the 2nd annual GameHouse ® Great Game AwardsTM. In the Up-and-Coming Developer category, Youdagames has been nominated for its recent releases Youda Farmer, Youda Sushi Chef and Youda Marina. The GameHouse Great Game Awards recognize creativity, innovation and commercial success of casual games released in 2009. The awards ceremony will occur July 19, prior to the Casual Connect 2010 conference in Seattle.

Youdagames is very proud to be nominated for Up-and-Coming Developer based on three out of five games released in 2009. In this year the company has grown fast which resulted in some high quality casual games on different platforms and a lot more to come in 2010. With this nomination, the efforts made in 2009 are now also acknowledged by the industry, which is a great honor.

“Of course recognition from the market itself is of main importance, but being nominated for our creativity and innovation by such a good partner as GameHouse adds to the enjoyment of being a Casual Game developer. It is good to see that the hard work of our talented employees pays off,” says Jurriaan van Teunenbroek, COO at Youdagames.

“All of these games are special to us for various reasons, I like to believe that they are all unique. In particular, Youda Marina’s inclusion in the nomination is a big compliment for our Macedonian Studio, that developed this unique game on its own strength,” adds Horst Streck, CEO at Youdagames

With the Great Game Awards, also called the GG’s, GameHouse celebrates innovation and creativity across the casual games industry. The awards recognize casual game developer partners for their contributions to the industry. In July 2009, the first GG’s were organized with 14 winners across a range of categories. This year again the company recognizes both the craftsmanship and the commercial success of games released in 2009. 'Best of Craft' award nominees will be voted on by a panel of representatives from leading independent developers across the casual games industry, while 'Best of Genre' awards will be based on sales performance on the GameHouse network. This year, GameHouse is also launching a new category, Player’s Choice – Game of the Year, with voting now open at www.GameHouse.com/promotions.
