About GameCity

GameCity is the UK's best-loved gaming event, attracting international speakers like Alexei Pajitnov, creator of Tetris and Keita Takahashi, the man behind the Katamari Damacy phenomenon, as well as exclusive game premieres, debates in Indian restaurants and amazing music events. A five-day festival which takes gaming out into the streets, shops and cinemas of Nottingham, it's about finding out what a videogame festival could be.

About Masaya Matsuura

Masaya started his career back in 1983 when he formed the band PSY'S. Famed for pushing the frontiers of computer music for the time, PSY'S disbanded in 1996 after nine hit albums. That same year, Masaya took the world by storm with the release of "PaRappa The Rapper" for PS1, winning notable awards and changing the landscape of gaming forever. Masaya's 1999 release, "vib-ribbon" was another gaming revolution, trailblazing the concept of procedurally generated course designs by beat-scanning Audio CD's.

To this day Masaya continues to search for innovative new forms of music interaction, as evidenced by NanaOn-Sha's recent title "Major Minor's Majestic March" for the Wii.
