The Casual Games Association, organiser and host of Europe's first casual games conference in February, is inviting submissions for a unique CD of pre-release and finished games from developers and publishers in the casual games arena.
The Minna Games CD will feature pre-release and completed games for any companies seeking feedback, distribution or publishing agreements for their work, and will be handed out to all attendees at the event, which includes representatives from all major casual games publishers and distributors throughout Europe and beyond.
Casuality Europe is heavily supported by numerous major casual games publishers, including RealArcade, PopCap Games, Zylom, Boonty and MSN Casual Games. The Minna Games CD is designed to provide developers with an additional means of gaining exposure for new and in-development titles. Submissions can still be provided by companies who are unable to attend the event, which is scheduled to run from the 7th-9th February 2006 in Amsterdam.
Jay Moore, business development at Garage Games, commented: "Securing broad distribution for independently developed titles is a real challenge for independent developers. Securing a wide reach of exposure for games will increase the chances of securing publishing and distribution contracts."
"RealArcade is looking to expand content acquisition efforts to form direct relationships with game development and publishing companies in Europe," added Daniel Prigg, Senior manager of developer relations for RealNetworks.
"We are thrilled for the opportunity Casuality Europe provides us to evaluate new content for distribution on our network and meet with European developers."
Production of the CD is being provided by CustomCD.us, and free ActiveMARK DRM security for content protection will be provided by Macrovision. Further information on submission of content for the Minna Games CD, together with additional details and application information for Casuality Europe can be found by visiting the conference website.
