Game & Game World Championship 2009

Alexander Doderer wins a round-trip ticket to Korea for a spot in the final.

IRVINE, Calif. - August 6, 2009

Joymax, an independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment for the global market, today announced the winners of last week’s Game & Game World Championship 2009 (GNGWC 2009) event in Leipzig, Germany. Fourteen players competed for the opportunity to advance to the final round in Busan, Korea, but only two walked away victorious!

Following a heated battle, Alexander Doderer took first place to win a round-trip ticket to Busan and a coveted spot in the finals. Andre Weck, placing second, nabbed the other ticket and an opportunity to redeem himself in the final round. The two Grand Prize winners were followed closely by Olaf Miller in third and Benedikt Botz in fourth, winners of a digital camera and a brand new computer mouse. Every competitor who made it to the regional finals walked away with a Joymax gift set containing a bunch of Silkroad Online goodies, including a table clock, a poster, and a t-shirt.

“Last week’s competition was incredible to watch, it was clear that everyone there wanted the chance to prove themselves in the finals,” said Jina Song, General Manager at Joymax. “Congratulations to Alexander and Andre, we can’t wait to see how they do later this year in Busan.”
